Well its been almost 2 months since my last post. Now that Lev is almost 9 months, I think its time to start a new blog - I think I’m as recovered as I’m going to be post baby and now I just need to start the “get back to a high level of fitness” campaign :-)

oh, had a crack at the Games WOD 11.6 a few days ago. Completed 13 of the 15 C2B pullups in the 7mins. Was very happy with that. Was heaps harder than Fran - a psychological thing I think because there’s no end….

Truth be told, I thought this would suck more than it did - guess the CrossFit Games 2011 WODs sucked more :-) I’ve managed to avoid Jackie thus far, but thought I’d give it a crack today. My time was 11.50mins. The row took 4.16mins and then I had to get from the other end of my house out onto the verandah to do the thrusters and pull-ups. Certainly not a cracking pace, there was quite a bit of water drinking going on to distract from getting back on the bar. But its like this…right now, my abs are still quite weak post c-section and I’m only training 1-2 times a week, so in an effort to avoid rhabdo, I’m challenging myself but not trying to kill myself intensity wise yet.
Woo hoo, just signed the contract with HQ - We are CrossFit Equipped!
Tabata ‘bottom to bottom’ squats (ie. the 10 sec break is a hold at bottom of the squat) - 5 rounds = 74 squats
then:
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 of 35kg Power Cleans and Toes to Bar
Argh, what a frustrating workout. Took 16mins because for some reason I could string my toes to bar together. It was sooooo irritating.
CF Games 11.6
Looked at the sneak peak and decided to have a crack at 11.6 because I didn’t have much time to workout. Its kind of reverse Fran.
Got through 43 Thrusters and 30 Chest to Bar Pull-ups in 7 mins.
Thought this was ok given I have done weighted thrusters in about a year. But will have another crack at it in a few days.
